THE AREA The pictureque village of Mothecombe, with thatched cottages and the manor house, is less than a mile from Bugle Rocks.
The Dartmoor National Park is just 9 miles away. Plymouth is also close by with many attractions including an impressive aquarium, shops, docks, and the historic areas of The Hoe and The Barbican.
Nearby on the Yealm Estuary are the charming villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers, with the old cottages clinging to the hillsides and the fishing boats and dinghies rising and falling with the tide. Here you can mess about in boats, and there are creek-side walks and friendly village pubs with good food.
A walkway called the Voss can be used at low tide to commute across the creek between the two villages. |
